Biographical Note for KIENBöCK'S DISEASE

Kien·böck \ˈkēn-ˌbœk\ , Robert (1871–1953), Austrian radiologist. Kienböck pioneered in radiology. From 1910–11 he published descriptions of dislocation of the hand and a slowly progressive chronic osteitis involving the lunate bone. The latter is now known as Kienböck's disease.
